SIGN UP AS A MENTORWho are the mentors?
Mentors are members of the student/scientific community with relevant academic/professional experience in the field of Informatics, who are keen to share their knowledge and experiences and who are willing to support the academic/professional development of less experienced students/researchers/teachers in the same study/scientific field.
What is the role of the mentor?
The mentor will be available to support the mentee in reflecting on and strengthening her skills, from academic to professional development, sharing their own experiences and knowledge.
What do you expect to do as a mentor?
Participate in the opening program training session, carry out mentoring sessions, and
facilitate group mentoring sessions.
Be available and willing to share knowledge with the mentee, let her know if there are
sessions that he/she is able to attend and respect the confidentiality of the topics
discussed in the sessions.
Provide feedback to program organizers and contact them shall any problem arise.
What to expect from the program?
Strengthen skills, reputation, and the ability to communicate and share of experience and
knowledge, through leadership and companionship.
Reinvigorate interest in own work by having the opportunity to examine personal
achievements, competence and satisfaction for contributing to personal and professional of
the mentee.
Attend seminars dedicated to the topic of mentoring and the importance of involving women
in areas of Informatics, meet rising talents, share contacts and increase networking
opportunities.
